Calling for a Bump Code

RightFax requires a channel authorization (bump code) to enable the channels and

features that you have purchased. Before calling for your bump code, you must have the

RightFax server software completely installed. Please refer to the RightFax documentation for

installation instructions.

You must call the Ericsson License Center (ELC) for your bump code. The ELC can

be reached 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Please refer to the registration card that

comes with the fax server software for information on how to contact the ELC. Please

have available your serial numbers for the fax server, additional features, and channels,

as they will be requested by the contact personnel.

! To obtain a bump code:

1. Once the RightFax software is installed, run the RightFax server Control Panel

applet and click the Channel Authorization tab.

2. Click the box that says “<Click here for BUMP Info>” for the field labeled

“The 24-digit code to GIVE to Technical Support.”

3. Write down the 24-digit code which appears.

4. Call Ericsson License Center (ELC). Please have this 24-digit code as well as

your serial numbers for the fax server, additional features, and channels ready to

provide to the ELC. The ELC will give you a new 24-digit code.

Note You will have 72 hours from the time you click “<Click here for BUMP

Info>” to call the ELC and give them your bump information and serial

numbers. If more than 72 hours have passed, you will need to re-click the “The

24-digit code to GIVE to Technical Support” box to obtain a new code.

5. Type the new code in the “The 24-digit code GIVEN to you” field on the

Channel Authorization tab. This code activates the channels and features

purchased; you will see the number of authorized channels and features

displayed on the screen. This bump code is case sensitive; all alphabetic

characters must be upper-case.

Important The bump code is good for one use only. If you ever need to reload fax server

software from scratch, you will need to call for a new code.
